Before beginning his career in financial services, Derek played baseball at the University of Georgia, where he developed a deep appreciation for discipline, teamwork, and preparation. Competing at a high level reinforced the importance of consistency, accountability, and performing under pressure—principles that continue to shape the way he serves his clients today. Derek approaches each client relationship with the same mindset: preparation, strategy, and a commitment to achieving long-term success.

Beyond his professional work, Derek is passionate about faith, leadership, and his family. Married for 15+ years and 3 kids, he spends most of his free time investing back to the younger generation through coaching various sports. He believes that strong character, service, and genuine relationships are the foundation of both personal and professional success.
